All shows will have AQHA approved classes.  Check the show bill on the web site.  Events begin at 9:00AM. Location of the shows is Hopkins County Pavilion, Sulphur Springs, TX.  (Covered Arena).

There are 6 age divisions:    8 & Under (Open only-no AQHA)
                13 & Under
                14 through 18
                Amateur
                Novice Amateur
                Open

The classes are Halter, Showmanship, Color Classes, Western Pleasure Walk/Trot, Western Pleasure, Western Horsemanship, Trail,

  Red River Horse Club would like to personally thank all of you for making our 2011 show season a success.  The club appreciates all volunteers who worked so hard through the hot summer shows.  We would also like to invite you to our 2012 shows.  The dates will be announced as soon as they are approved by the Texas Quarter Horse Association and the AQHA.

The yearend buckles have been ordered and the banquet scheduled.  Following is the banquet information.

The high school is off of Hwy 121 across from Wal Mart.

The banquet will be a Pot Luck.  No Charge.  The club will furnish the BBQ, drinks, and eating utensils.  Please respond to this e-mail with number who will be attending so we can plan for the BBQ, drinks, etc.  Members attending should bring a covered dish.  The activities planned at the banquet will be:

  The Futurity on Sunday, Oct 16th,  is a TPEA futurity, and the location is the Henderson County Fairgrounds, Athens, TX.
 Oct. Well it is time for the RRHC Futurity.  RRHC futurity, and the location is the Hopkins County Pavilion, Sulphur Springs, TX

The Points through the Oct 1st show are posted.  The yearend awards banquet is still in the planning stage and will be held in November.  Date and location to be provided at a later date.

Also, would like to make you aware of the TPEA futurity which is on the 16th of October.  TPEA and RRHC would like to encourage your participation in the futurity.  As you can see, it is open to any breed, any color.  The entry form is attached along with the TPEA new letter.  http://tpea.net/

FUTURITY UPDATE !!

Instead of canceling the Futurity like we did last year, we are moving it back to Sunday of the October show.

It will now be an OPEN FUTURITY for any breed, any color.

The entry fee has been lowered to $100.00 with 90% paid into the jackpot plus added money from TPEA.

Classes will be offered for halter weanlings and yearlings, and for Longe liners.

PLEASE TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS CHANGE AND ENCOURAGE THEM TO ENTER!

Judging will take place on Sunday in order to invite exhibitors from Saturday futurities being held the same week end to come.

If you have a palomino baby, bring it on Saturday for PHBA classes/points.

We will offer a 2 yr old stakes class if enough exhibitors request one.  Let us know at kennedyqtr@aol.com

2011 Stallion Auction News  2011 Stallion Auction News

The 2011 Stallion Auction will be held in conjunction with the year-end banquet on October 30th at the Banquet Hall in the Hopkins County Civic Center, Sulphur Springs, TX.  The list of stallions nominated will be posted in the immediate future.  It will be a silent auction.  Stallions for that day only, will sell with a $100 discount.  That means the stallion service may be purchased at 50% of the advertised stud fee less $100.  Minimum bid is $200.
